Chakra Yoga Class CD by Amber Land

This CD is a complete yoga class with vocal guidance through each posture. Each posture will stimulate a chakra, working from the base of the spine up to the sahasrara and back down to the mulhadara chakra. Each posture is accompanied by visualisation of the symbol for that chakra, as well as the repetition of the bija sound. The backing music was specifically written to resonate at the frequency of each chakra, as it is being stimulated. This CD is an hour and a quarter long, ending with a 15 minute guided visualisation, in savasana, on the colours of each chakra.

Hridayakasha Dharana CD

This cd comprises 2 different practices focused on the heart space ‘hridayakasha’. Hridayakasha Dharana works with breath, awareness and emotion, witnessed within the space of the heart. This is not ultimately the physical region around the heart, but a more subtle spiritual space where feelings and emotions are transformed into peace, joy, harmony and love. The name comes from the Sanskrit Hridaya (heart), Akasha (space) and Dharana (to hold the mind at one point).

This practice- devised by Paramahamsa Swami Satyananda Saraswati is guided by Swami Pragyamurti -head of the Satyananda Yoga centre in London. The practices are a systematic, clearly guided means of entering into a deeper connection to the heart space and the emotions and experiences of that region.

Contact: info@satyanandayoga.co.za / www.satyanandayoga.co.za

Cost: R70 each, the proceeds of which go towards the various charitable activities of the Cape Town Sevaunite organisation.
