There are many reasons why it is a good idea to take yourself away on a yoga retreat – the most obvious reason being that of relaxation and recuperation.  You definitely do not have to be an experienced yogi to attend a retreat – as most people are complete beginners.  So, the yoga is just an integral part of learning how to totally relax and enjoy!!  You will always find a yoga retreat is in tranquil surroundings – whether its by the sea, the mountains or forests and there are normally other activities on offer to keep you busy as well as spa treatments or massages.  So, it really is an indulgence in the senses and you can either be busy or just be totally chilled and pampered.  You also get to meet wonderful like-minded people from all walks of life and often even from different countries!!!  It truly is an experience I would recommend to anyone who needs to get away from it all and to have a truly wonderful experience on all levels!!!
