About YAA in 2011

February 21, 2011

Yoga Awakening Africa wishes all our readers a lovely Valentines week, filled with love, happiness and lots of yoga.

We unfortunately have some sad news. The YAA team will be taking a sabbatical from publishing the magazine for a while due to current conditions in the industry being tougher than anticipated. We have all worked very hard on the magazine for the last four years as we have loved the idea of bringing yoga to you, our valued reader. But we have, after careful consideration, decided to take a break and regain our energy, with the hope of starting the magazine up again in the future. We are all deeply disappointed that we cannot publish the next edition this year, we were so looking forward to it as everything seems to finally have found its own rhythm, but we do hope to be able to start up again in the future when we have found the right business partner and/or funding.

On a brighter side, by the end of the month YAA will have completed all the final updates to the website and we will be bringing out our new online newsletter and online yoga store. The newsletter will now have a similar format to that of our hard copy and we look forward to hearing your thoughts and views on it.

Secondly, as some of you may have heard Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, a Kundalini Yoga teacher from the States, will be coming to South Africa in March. Gururamdas are giving away a workshop worth R775 on Saturday 19th March, click here to enter the competition for free!!!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Namaste

Nina, Juanita and the whole YAA team
