Why is Yoga an Excellent Choice?

March 7, 2011
Like water, we need to move to be healthy. Yoga moves stagnant, stale energy, keeping you Fit for Life!
Yoga works on all the layers of your body, mind, and emotions. Through physical exercise, you gain the benefits of movement like strength, flexibility, toning, and weight-loss. A less emphasised benefit of yoga is that it massages, strengthens and tones the subtle layers of the body, like the organs, tendons/ligaments, glands etc, helping all your systems to function optimally. A healthy digestive system improves energy levels and mental focus and concentration. Healthy glandular system improves moods and balances hormones in the body. Yoga also balances your nervous system which facilitates better sleep, relaxation and decreased stress levels which will have an exponential effect on all aspects of your life like relationships and personal joy.

I ALREADY GO TO GYM OR DO OTHER TRAINING:

FOR ATHLETES, CROSS-TRAINING WITH YOGA YIELDS AMAZING RESULTS
Yoga offers what no other sport/activity can which is both strength and flexibility not only for the body but for the mind and emotions also. Yoga has a balancing effect, so to anyone who is an athlete/sportsperson or training at gym, yoga will counteract the shortening of the muscles from these activities giving greater endurance to the muscles, and also a greater inherent strength. Yoga will help with injury prevention as the body becomes more elastic! Also, by improving breathing skills and capacity, fitness improves.

A study at a USA University has proven that people who can touch their toes are less likely to suffer from heart disease, attack or stroke.

Yoga keeps your heart healthy!Your body powerful! Your mind peaceful!
