The Jivamukti Cleanse – Chakra Cleaning and Tuning Workshop

Sunday 18th March. 2pm to 415pm. Cost R275

In this workshop, Anja will fuse asana, vinyasa, mantra, pranayama and positive intention to help you to clean, realign and balance the body and mind through a special series of Jivamukti Yoga poses and sequences.

The practice of Jivamukti Yoga (one of today’s nine internationally recognized styles of Hatha Yoga) has a powerful cleansing and tuning effect on the nadis (energy channels) and chakras (energy centers) of our bodies, thus enabling prana (vitality) to flow freely. Once these subtle energy channels are healthy, open and free we are able to live our lives in healthy, open and free ways.

Medicine, psychology and yogic wisdom tells us that our past relationships to others live on in our bodies: not only as memories, but also as imprints in our cells and tissues, in our hip joints, hamstrings and knees, in our ears and vocal chords. During an intensive asana practice these traces of our past often rise up again, manifesting perhaps as stiffness in eg. our hips, or an urge to gasp for breath.

If at certain points in your yoga practice you have difficulties, this can actually be an indication that there are blockages that need to be cleared. One of the main purposes of The Jivamukti Cleanse Workshop is to clear up our past relationships to others as well as our current perception of reality. The individual asanas in this workshop are specially sequenced so that you will be able to recognize, pursue and resolve these karmic imprints.

This workshop is open to all levels.

Location: Yogazone, 10th floor Picbel Arcade, 58 Strand Street Cape town 8001.
