8. What lead you to teaching yoga and at what point did you decide that you wanted to teach?

Having felt the benefits of my own practice lead me to teaching yoga, it really is a tool to being able to improve one’s life on all levels – physical, emotional as well as spiritual.

5 years ago I felt that there needed to be more to life than what was for me then and I all of a sudden felt a strong need to give back. Yoga is the best way in my eyes to give back to the community as it empowers people to improve & enrich their own lives.

9. What do you love most about teaching?

Passing on the knowledge that has been taught to me, enriching people’s lives, creating a safe environment for all ages to practice yoga in and being able to introduce this ancient tool to all I come in contact with.

10. Is there a focus in your teaching style?

For people to be able to live their life to the fullest …. Whether it be to be able to help people relax more, concentrate better, breathe better, improve their posture …or to instill a sense of self and bring creativity and playfulness back into people & children’s lives ….. oh the list is endless…

11. What do you love most about yoga?
It’s a life long journey, one can never stop learning about oneself through yoga, one can never stop learning about the benefits that the practice of yoga has on people’s lives, the health benefits etc.

12. What is the greatest challenge you have overcome with the help of yoga?
The challenge of life itself …. Well at least I thought of life as being a challenge back then. Through yoga I have been able to control and mostly overcome my fears and anxieties in order to enjoy life for every moment that there is.

13. What advice do you have for people who have never tried yoga?
Try it…. Be very gentle with yourself and listen to your body. Don’t worry about the people around you what they can do & what you can’t, we’re all different, our bodies are all structured differently. Yoga is a great tool to have in every aspect of one’s life.

14. Do you have a regular practice?
I try and attend a class at least once a week and have my own practice at home or in the studio in between classes that I teach.

15. Favourite Asana?
Currently the headstand which I’ve just started to master.

16. Strongest Asana?
Mmmm… I don’t really have one…

17. Least Favourite Asana?
…lol… All the ones I yet have to master … but these take time & practice

18. Any religious affiliations?
Spiritual – yes. Religious … not really

19. What are your other interests?
My family & friends, spending time in & with nature, hiking with the dogs, going to the beach & travelling abroad meeting people of all walks of life

20. Any thank yous?
Thank you to the universe for making all this possible … thank you to all who’ve touched my life thus far and thank you to those who I’m still yet to meet.

*Namaste*
